David B. Wolverton

Military and technology thrillers built around systems, strategy, and the people who have to live with the result.

About the author

David B. Wolverton spent more than twenty-five years working in government systems analysis before turning full-time to fiction.

His novels combine a long-standing interest in military history and science fiction with the habits of a systems analyst: trace dependencies, identify failure points, and assume the elegant plan will eventually meet a human being having a terrible day.

His work focuses on emerging military technology, artificial intelligence, escalation, logistics, and the gap between what a system is designed to do and what it actually does under pressure.

The goal is not hardware worship. The hardware matters because it changes the decisions available to the people using it.
